Today, the children had a wonderful time celebrating Australia Day by creating their very own koala masterpieces! We started with a fun drawing activity, where the children were given a sheet with a koala outline. As part of the learning experience, we explored the world of colors, discussing primary and secondary colors. The children also had a chance to guess how to mix colors to create the perfect grey for their koalas— and they got it right! We mixed black and white to achieve the perfect shade.
Once the paint dried, the creativity continued! The children added some craft elements to their artwork by using cotton to create fluffy koala ears, bringing their koalas to life.
