From 5 January 2026, all CCS-eligible families will be able to access at least 72 hours of subsidised care per fortnight under the new 3 Day Guarantee.
Families may be eligible for 100 hours of subsidised child care per fortnight if they:
-Are caring for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child
– Have more than 48 hours of recognised participation each fortnight
-Have an exemption or face exceptional circumstances
-Receive Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS) for child wellbeing, temporary financial hardship, or as a grandparent
*Families will still need to pay the gap fee (unless exempt).
